Purpose of funding
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport that is offered. In doing this, schools should expect to see improvements across:
the engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity
the profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement
increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport
broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils
increased participation in competitive sport
At Laddingford we spend the majority of our money in two key areas;
- Employing PASS, and external sports provider who provide expert coaching and staff training, as well as opportunities for children to be involved in competitive sport,
- Running our forest school, which both promotes the benefits of regular engagement in physical activity and allows children access to a broader range of activities.
Please read the information below which gives more details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we will be allocating the funding this year. The impact reports from PASS show how the impact of that part of the funding, for more information about the impact of Forest school, see our forest school blog here.
