Laddingford St Mary's is a Church of England (voluntary controlled) Primary School at the heart of the village community. As a church school, our vision and values are distinctly Christian, whilst equally welcoming and including those of all faiths and none.

We value every member of our community, offering a joyful, nurturing environment, meeting the needs of individuals through an ambitious and inclusive curriculum for all. Following the example of Jesus as The Good Shepherd, and drawing on the parable of The Lost Sheep, we ensure that no-one is left behind by providing the skills needed for lifelong learning in a changing world.

At Laddingford, our school values are love, peace and joy. 

Love means to be kind and inclusive, showing care and understanding to everyone.

Peace means to be respectful, calm, confident and responsible.

British Values

 

We recognise and celebrate the diverse society which our children are entering into. We actively promote British values in a range of ways, including challenging opinions or behaviours that are contrary to them. These British values (as defined by the Department for Education) are:

• The Rule of Law
• Individual Liberty
• Mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs

 

These values are taught through PSHE, through stand alone topic/projects such as the school elections and as part of our wider commitment to teaching our school values; to ensure that at Laddingford, everyone feels heard, represented, respected and valued.
