For use with pen and paper

Make your own map on a large piece of paper and write directions of how to get an object or a person around it.

For use on I-phones and I-pads (free)

Download the Bee-bot app onto your phone. Just like in the video, look at the route, write your code (forward, forward, left turn, forward, right turn etc), then programme it into the app to move the bee through the grid to the end point.

NOTE: The app does seem not to register each time you press a programme button but it is storing the sequence - once you press go the Bee-bot will move the route you have programmed.

For use on Desktops/Laptops (free)

Use this online platform to see whether you can use your position and direction knowledge to write instructions to successfully get the turtle to the pond.

More advanced coding options - Scratch/Scratch Junior

Download the free coding app Scratch Junior and write a programme to get your Sprite to draw different shapes, walk in different directions or even create your own mini animation story.

Scratch Junior (recommended for ages 5-7) (free)
Only for use on I-pads

Scratch (recommended for ages 8-16) (free)
